We invite you into the enchanting world of flavors and aromas of Peruvian cuisine. Why Peruvian?
The first reason is that traditional Peruvian cuisine is largely based on high-quality, fresh ingredients—just like our Kvarner, or more precisely, Krk cuisine: fresh fish, scampi, octopus, and lamb. Sounds familiar?
The second, equally important reason is that on the globally renowned list The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, two Peruvian restaurants—MAIDU (ranked 1st) and KJOLLE (ranked 9th), both from Lima—are in the top 10, with two more (Merito and Mayta) among the top 50!
Maidu has been in the top 5 for two consecutive years and offers a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, which makes perfect sense given that its owner and head chef is Mitsuharu Tsumura 😊. The restaurant offers a tasting menu consisting of 10 courses.
We’ll take a different approach and present the magic of Peruvian cuisine through a fusion with Krk ingredients (fish, scampi, octopus, and lamb) prepared in the Peruvian style. We’ll use Peruvian spices, cooking techniques, and plating styles, accompanied by some truly intriguing side dishes.
Alongside these Peruvian specialties, you’ll also have the chance to enjoy the iconic cocktail – PISCO SOUR! This famous drink is based on Peru’s national spirit PISCO, lemon juice, egg white, and a few drops of bitters.
We’re confident that all of this is more than enough reason to visit „Trattoria Gatto Nero Malinska“ and indulge in the magic of Peruvian cuisine.
