In the coming weeks, we will be preparing a speciality of young lamb for you.
Our lamb is 100% local, from the islands of Pag (Novalja), Cres and Rab!
How does local island lamb differ from all other domestic or imported ones:
- SMELL - the pasture is different, the grass and island herbs that graze give it a specific mild aromatic smell
- TASTE - the bura wind spreads salt on the grass and aromatic herbs, and the taste becomes specific and special thanks to that saltiness
- SIZE - the islanders do not recognize lamb as lamb if it exceeds 10 kg, anything over that is sheep and not lamb.
You can enjoy lamb prepared:
- under the bell (peka/cripnja),
- braised in a pot,
- on the skewer,
- on the Kamado grill and
- specialty for connoisseurs: lamb tripe
