Gatto Nero continues to delight its guests even after the summer buzz fades, with creative dishes made from local ingredients and freshly caught fish that comes straight from fishermen’s nets into the kitchen...
Konoba/Trattoria Gatto Nero is the pride of Tanja Grbac and Marinko Tvrtković, for whom the black cat has brought nothing but good fortune ever since they renovated and reopened this old space last year. And they haven’t stopped since — constantly crafting new surprises for their guests.
Recently, the trattoria has been filled with the aromas of young Pag lamb, octopus from Omišalj, squid, and veal from Lika, alongside specialties like tuna prosciutto, risotto with sea asparagus (salicornia), and other house-made delicacies.
As soon as the last of the lamb from Lun is served, preparations will begin for International Women’s Day, when Gatto Nero will tempt guests with homemade šurlice pasta with lobster and sea bream fillet in Žlahtina wine sauce — all the details can be found on their website.
