From gloomy Rijeka we escaped to sunny Malinska where a story for true gourmets begins. We enter the Trattoria Gatto Nero tavern where we are greeted by a pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. At the very beginning we are welcomed by the house which is just the beginning of what awaits us. This is followed by a cream soup of asparagus and toasted bread. Then comes a cold appetizer called the fish dish "Gatto Nero" in which a real symphony of flavors is presented with the addition of lemon caviar which takes the story to the next level.
The main course is Adriatic squid stuffed with monkfish and shrimp, and ravioli stuffed with cheese with shrimp, sage and lemon. The rhapsody of flavors ends with pistachio cheesecake and white chocolate mousse with raspberry topping. Finally, a greeting from home comes to the table in the form of two brandies. In a word, a paradise for gourmets.
