"Well, we've found this place here on TripAdvisor, and according to comments we knew this will be a place to have our dinner in Novigrad. When we arrived to the city we took a walk through the old town and found the place without any problems. It was still a bit early since they serve the dinners from 18h onwards.
We went for a drink and returned. We took a table at their terrace and were immediately greeted by the owner. He explained us what they offer, he showed us fresh mushrooms that they use in cooking and explained what would fit best together and how much of each dish there will be.
We decided for the two steaks and a seafood plate for two. I've also tried a warm appetiser. After we ordered the drinks and dishes, the waiter brought the cold starters - crispy toast with 3 kinds of raw fish. It was good, very good.
My warm appetiser was just great. It was local pasta with tartuffe and scallops. We split it with my girlfriend and they didn't even ask if we need two servings - it was perfectly clear it should be done like that (this ain't true in many cases).
My main dish was steak of Istrian beef - boškarin. With the mushroom sauce. It was done exactly as I wanted - medium-well. I must say it was near perfection, soft and saucy as it should be. It went great with the dark porter beer from Zmajska Pivovara.
The seafood plate was great as well. Nicely decorated on porcelain dish which kept everything warm and a nice selection composed of: fish, scampi, some mussels and chard with potato.
It was a really great dinner with friends in a lovely warm environment.
